Another goal marked off the list

We have paid off our truck.
No more payments!
It feels good to mark that off the list.

..and the cow jumped over the moon

I've mentioned before that I love the moon and the stars.
Anything in the sky really.
I was reading the paper this morning and there was an article mentioning that Venus and Jupiter were going to make a strong appearance with the moon tonight.
Well what does every amateur photography that has lost their motivation and inspiration do????
Well they get all giddy inside and count down the hours until they clock out so they can grab their camera equipment and play around in the dark!
My tripod was acting up so I didn't get the BEST photos, but I got some pretty good ones.

Absolutely beautiful don't you think?

No talkie!

Happy first day of Spring Blogarinos!
I love Spring because it means the snow should be disappearing soon up here in Alaska.
Ha! I tried to not laugh when I typed that sentence.
Unfortunately, it snows well into April here, but warmer weather and we're up to 12 hours of daylight!

The one thing I do not like about Spring...allergies.
How many of you out there suffer from seasonal allergies?
I usually get the watery eyes, stuffy nose, and a cough, but this time I got laryngitis.
I've never had laryngitis before. It sucks! I hate not being able to talk. I have too much to talk and laugh about in my every day life!

I have the next three days off from work, so hopefully I can recuperate before Friday. I was just miserable at work today!

Since my Grandma's death, I just haven't felt like myself.
I didn't know how hard I was really going to take it.
I'm such a hard person on the outside, but I've just been a bowl of mush lately.
Hubster thought I needed some cheering up, so on our day off together, he decided to drive me out to the Valley and visit my niece and nephew.

It was a beautiful drive. I often forget how beautiful the mountains are on the drive out there because I hardly make the hour trip. Especially in the winter. I hate driving our only highway when it's full of snow and ice.

Isn't it beautiful?

Hubster and I went to my sister's apartment to pick up her and my niece, then we drove to the next town over to visit my nephew.

Aren't they cute?!

My nephew loves video games now. He wanted me to beat the level for him.

My niece playing with her favorite baby.

It was nice spending time with the family. I need to visit more before moving to Minnesota.
I'm starting to feel my old self again.

Hazards working at a hospital

I come across a ton of things working in a hospital.
I work on all the floors all day long and deal with some crazy patients.
Well today I went into work and was paged to the ER to admit a patient to a unit.
I got the paperwork and introduced myself to the patient and began pushing the stretcher through the hall.
When I got the stretcher in the elevator, the patient looked up and said, "Help me! Help me now!"
So of course I scooted around to the side of the stretcher and asked what I could do to help and that's when the patient looked at me and projectile vomited all over the front of my scrub shirt.
Can I get an EEEEWWWWW?!
It took every fiber in my being to not throw up on the patient's face.
I can deal with poop, blood, brains, and nasty wounds, but I can NOT deal with vomit.
The elevator stopped and the doors opened to a bunch of nurses and doctors standing there.
They saw my shirt and offered to take the patient for me so I could run down to the ER and get a new shirt.
It was awful!!!
I'm staying away from the ER for awhile now.

I woke up from a dream that I did not want to wake up from.
I was at my aunt's house and my Grandma was there. It felt like it was so real.
We spent the day together doing all the things we loved to do.
We went walking by her house like we used to do after dinner when I would visit, we went shopping for craft things, we watched her favorite TV shows, and cooked dinner together.
Then at the end of the day, I had to go to Dayton to catch my flight, but I did not want to leave. She kept telling me it was ok and she thanked me for everything.
She was so happy to see me one more time, but it was time for me to go home because she wanted to go home.
We hugged one last time and she disappeared and I woke up.

I really miss my Grandma.
